Use the free SpamGrabber add-on for Outlook for Windows.

It reports spam properly to SpamCop, which we use to block incoming spam. Why use it?

  • Getting upset about spam does not help.
  • Replying to spam only gets you *more* spam.
  • No, the only thing that will make a difference is if you report the spam to SpamCop! Here is how to do that.

You must have a (free) SpamCop account, and then install the free SpamGrabber addon for Outlook, then use it to report and delete Spam from your Inbox.

1. Signup for a free SpamCop reporting account.

Go to http://members.spamcop.net/anonsignup.shtml

To signup for a free reporting account. Once you have it, go to:

and write down the reporting email address. It will say something like:

"Forward your spam to: [email protected]"

That is your reporting email address.

2. Install the free SpamGrabber addon for Outlook 2007, 2010 or 2013 for Windows.

Go to:

and download and open/run the appropriate version that matches the Outlook version you have installed. During installation, the .NET Framework and other software may need to be installed. Accept/Allow each one as needed.

Windows *may* need to restart to finish the changes.

3. Use SpamGrabber to report and delete spam with one click!

The first time you open Outlook after this, you *may* need to allow a new program to run (the SpamGrabber addon). This may take a few minutes.

Once done, you will see a new menu item, "SpamGrabber", after FILE, SEND/RECEIVE, FOLDER and VIEW:

When you click the "SpamGrabber" menu, you will then see "Report Spam" and "Change Settings".

Before you can report spam, you must go into "Change Settings" first, to provide your new SpamCop reporting email address.

Click "Change Settings", then "Reporting Profiles" in the left sidebar, then "Add" on the right.

Put in a name for your profile, like "SpamCop" or anything you like.

Then put in your SpamCop reporting email address in "Default address to report to" and click "Add.

It should appear under "Profiles". Select it and click "Spam Default" on the right.

Click OK

Now you are set up for 1 click Spam reporting!

To report spam and delete it, select the message in the list, and click "Report Spam". You may need to click "SpamGrabber" to see that button first.

The spam will be reported to SpamCop, which will analyze it and find the true source of the spam, and block it. And the email will be deleted from your Inbox.

THANK YOU for taking the time to report spam. That is the *only* thing that will make a difference!

If we can get a few people doing this as needed each day, our spam would go down significantly over time.
